The mere fact that I am alive and breathing stands as a testament. This year, I faced a health scare that gave me a reality check. I have been suffering from iron deficiency anemia since around 2009. Although my body absorbs iron well, specialists could not determine why my levels continued to plummet, often to 6 and below. In September, I started experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath, symptoms that were new to me. A visit to the ER revealed critically low iron levels, leading to a blood transfusion. It was frightening, but my faith in God remained steadfast. My husband was by my side throughout the night in the hospital, and by the next day, things looked promising. Currently, I am on a daily iron supplement, hoping my levels remain stable so I can avoid daily medication. I've reduced my intake from three times a day to just once. It's crucial to listen to your body and prioritize your health. Blessings!
